| At the 1990 Silverstone Formula One Grand Prix, a shot of Ayrton Senna's McLaren F1 car was made including the full pit lane and grandstands. The photograph is created with a rotary camera and covers an angle of 200 degrees. Included in the view are: one security marshal, three FIA marshals assigned to the tyre check, two track marshals, the supervisor of tyre check operation, a top FIA supervisor and Senna' McLaren. |
My photographer accreditation to work at the GP Silverstone Circuit would not allow access to marshal only areas, particularly with FIA personnel at work during a tyre check. No administrator could provide a pass to this prohibited area but there was one man who could - Bernie Ecclestone. My 10-minute session created views which included Andrea Decesaris's Dallara, Ivan Capelli's Leyton House, Nigel Mansell's Ferarri and Ayrton Senna. |
